Dragon's Dogma - PS3

Dragon's Dogma is an action RPG set in a fantasy universe ruled by a giant dragon that heroes attempt to challenge. The player starts as a common townspeople in a fishing village, only to be killed by the dragon and awaken as the new Arisen. Players choose a vocation such as Fighter, Strider, or Mage, which determines attributes, equipment, and skills. Experience is gained through quests and combat, spent on skill points. The player can freely explore the environment, gather quests, and engage in fast-paced combat with hack-and-slash style attacks. The character's abilities are further defined through items, weapons, and clothing found as loot. Players can assemble a party of up to three computer-controlled characters called pawns, with one primary pawn fully developed by the player. The game features dynamic battles with a variety of enemies, respawning monsters, and interactive cities with citizens on their own schedules. There is a love interest, asynchronous cooperative gameplay against powerful opponents like the Ur Dragon, and the ability to hire pawns created by other players through an online network option.
