The 2013 edition of the soccer series introduces new features and updates to existing game modes. It includes all leagues from FIFA Soccer 2012, as well as the Saudi Professional League and USA MLS All-Stars. National teams like Czech Republic, India, Paraguay, and Venezuela return, while Croatia is removed. Career mode allows players to manage international teams and clubs with added qualifications and tournaments. The transfer system now includes counter-offers and combined player/money transfers. Match Day updates team and player statistics weekly, with a Game of the Week feature. Pro Clubs mode offers seasonal play, while EA Sports Football Club introduces specific scenarios for players to tackle. Ultimate Team is the main game mode. First Touch Control enhances attacking moves, taking player statistics and situation into account. Skill Games mode features 32 minigames with different difficulty levels. The game supports Kinect and Move peripherals, offering voice commands and motion control options.
