Final Fantasy VII - PS1

Final Fantasy VII, the seventh installment in the series, is set in a post-modern, steampunk, sci-fi world where advanced technology dominates, and humans coexist with robots, bio-engineered mutants, and dragons. The narrative centers on Shinra Inc., a malevolent mega-corporation that monopolizes the world's technology, powered by Mako Energy. This energy source, however, is depleting the planet's lifeblood, disrupting nature's balance.

The game is a Japanese-style role-playing game featuring turn-based combat with an active time battle (ATB) system against random enemies. Customization is centered around the "Materia" system, where abilities, spells, and stats are linked to Materia orbs, allowing players to modify characters' skills via the equipment menu. Materia can be purchased or found, and summoned monsters are tied to specific Materia. Characters earn experience and ability points, enhancing equipped Materia over time.
