Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a fast-paced action game set four years after Metal Gear Solid 4. Players control cyborg ninja Raiden as he investigates the plans of rival PMC Desperado Enterprises. The gameplay is hack-and-slash, with Raiden using a high-frequency blade for combos and a bullet time blade mode for precise slices. He can also enter ninja mode for faster movement and special attacks. Stealth is less important than in previous games, with linear levels and some exploration. Players can communicate with team members and use battle points to upgrade abilities and weapons. Hidden chests unlock virtual reality missions and concept art.
